Tire Maintenance

Tire maintenance is important for safety, fuel economy, and the life of your tires.  You should check your tire pressure at least once a month and before every long trip that you take.  Your recommended tire pressure can usually be found on your vehicle's door edge or doorpost.  If you can't find it there check your owner's manual. 

The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently found in a nationwide survey that vehicle tires were, on the average, under-inflated by 10-11 psi, causing a reduction in miles per gallon by as much as 3.72 percent.
